Jakhu Temple is an ancient temple in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, dedicated to Lord Hanuman. It is located on Jakhu Hill, Shimla's highest peak, at a height of 2,455 meters above sea level.

The temple's main attraction is a 108-feet-tall statue of Lord Hanuman, one of the tallest statues in the world. The statue is visible from many parts of Shimla and offers a panoramic view of the Shivalik ranges.

According to legend, Lord Hanuman stopped at this spot to rest while on his way to collect the Sanjeevani herb for Lakshmana during the events of the Ramayana.

How to Reach

The temple is accessible by a steep walk from Shimla's Ridge or by a cable car ride. Taxis are also available from Shimla town.
