श्रीगुरु चरन सरोज रज निज मनु मुकुरु सुधारि ।

Shri Guru Charan Saroj Raj Nij Manu Mukuru Sudhari

After cleansing the mirror of my mind with the pollen dust of holy Guru's Lotus feet.

बरनउँ रघुबर बिमल जसु जो दायकु फल चारि ॥

Baranau Raghubara Bimala Jasu Jo Dayaku Phala Chari

I describe the pure glory of Lord Rama, which bestows the four fruits of life.

जय हनुमान ज्ञान गुन सागर ।

Jaya Hanumana Gyana Guna Sagara

Victory to Hanuman, ocean of wisdom and virtue,

जय कपीस तिहुँ लोक उजागर ॥

Jaya Kapisa Tihu Loka Ujagara

Hail the monkey lord, illuminator of the three worlds.

राम दूत अतुलित बल धामा ।

Rama Duta Atulita Bala Dhama

Lord Rama's messenger, abode of incomparable strength,

अंजनि पुत्र पवनसुत नामा ॥

Anjani-Putra Pavanasuta Nama

Anjani's son, known as the son of the wind.

महाबीर बिक्रम बजरंगी ।

Mahabira Bikrama Bajrangi

The great hero, famous as Bajrang Bali,

कुमति निवार सुमति के संगी ॥

Kumati Nivara Sumati Ke Sangi

Dispeller of evil thoughts, companion of the good.

कंचन बरन बिराज सुबेसा ।

Kanchana Barana Biraja Subesa

Golden colored, beautifully adorned,

कानन कुंडल कुंचित केसा ॥

Kanana Kundala Kunchita Kesa

With earrings and curly hair.

हाथ बज्र औ ध्वजा बिराजै ।

Hatha Bajra Au Dhvaja Biraje

Wielding a thunderbolt and carrying a flag,

काँधे मूँज जनेऊ साजै ॥

Kandhe Munja Janeu Saje

Wearing the sacred thread on his shoulder.

शंकर सुवन केसरी नंदन ।

Sankara Suvana Kesari Nandana

Son of Shiva, offspring of Kesari,

तेज प्रताप महा जग बंदन ॥

Teja Pratapa Maha Jaga Bandana

Your glory is revered throughout the universe.

विद्यावान गुनी अति चातुर ।

Vidyavana Guni Ati Chatura

Learned, virtuous and very clever,

राम काज करिबे को आतुर ॥

Rama Kaja Karibe Ko Atura

Always eager to do Lord Rama's work.

प्रभु चरित्र सुनिबे को रसिया ।

Prabhu Charitra Sunibe Ko Rasiya

Delighting in hearing the Lord's deeds,

राम लखन सीता मन बसिया ॥

Rama Lakhana Sita Mana Basiya

Ram, Lakshman and Sita dwell in your heart.

सूक्ष्म रूप धरि सियहिं दिखावा ।

Sukshma Rupa Dhari Siyahin Dikhava

Assuming a diminutive form, you appeared to Sita,

बिकट रूप धरि लंक जरावा ॥

Bikata Rupa Dhari Lanka Jarava

And in a terrifying form, you burned Lanka.

भीम रूप धरि असुर सँहारे ।

Bhima Rupa Dhari Asura Sanghare

Assuming a dreadful form, you slaughtered demons,

रामचंद्र के काज सँवारे ॥

Ramachandra Ke Kaja Sanvare

And accomplished Lord Ramachandra's mission.

लाय सजीवन लखन जियाये ।

Laya Sajivana Lakhana Jiyaye

Bringing the Sanjivani herb, you revived Lakshman,

श्रीरघुबीर हरषि उर लाये ॥

Shri Raghuvira Harashi Ura Laye

And Sri Rama embraced you with joy.

रघुपति कीन्ही बहुत बड़ाई ।

Raghupati Kinhi Bahuta Badai

The Lord of the Raghus praised you greatly,

तुम मम प्रिय भरतहि सम भाई ॥

Tuma Mama Priya Bharatahi Sama Bhai

Saying 'You are as dear to me as my brother Bharat.'

सहस बदन तुम्हरो जस गावैं ।

Sahasa Badana Tumharo Jasa Gaven

The thousand-headed serpent sings your glory,

अस कहि श्रीपति कंठ लगावैं ॥

Asa Kahi Shripati Kantha Lagaven

Saying this, Lord Vishnu embraced you.

सनकादिक ब्रह्मादि मुनीसा ।

Sanakadika Brahmadi Munisa

Sages like Sanak, gods like Brahma,

नारद सारद सहित अहीसा ॥

Narada Sarada Sahita Ahisa

Narad, Saraswati and the king of serpents,

जम कुबेर दिगपाल जहाँ ते ।

Yama Kubera Digapala Jahan Te

Yama, Kubera and the guardians of the directions,

कबि कोबिद कहि सके कहाँ ते ॥

Kabi Kobida Kahi Sake Kahan Te

Poets and scholars, none can express your glory.

तुम उपकार सुग्रीवहिं कीन्हा ।

Tuma Upakara Sugrivahi Kinha

You rendered a great service to Sugriva,

राम मिलाय राज पद दीन्हा ॥

Rama Milaya Raja Pada Dinha

Uniting him with Rama and bestowing him the kingdom.

तुम्हरो मंत्र बिभीषन माना ।

Tumharo Mantra Bibhishana Mana

Vibhishan heeded your advice,

लंकेस्वर भए सब जग जाना ॥

Lankesvara Bhaye Saba Jaga Jana

And became the king of Lanka, as the whole world knows.

जुग सहस्र जोजन पर भानू ।

Yuga Sahasra Yojana Para Bhanu

The sun is thousands of miles away,

लील्यो ताहि मधुर फल जानू ॥

Lilyo Tahi Madhura Phala Janu

Yet you swallowed it thinking it to be a sweet fruit.

प्रभु मुद्रिका मेलि मुख माहीं ।

Prabhu Mudrika Meli Mukha Mahin

Keeping the Lord's ring in your mouth,

जलधि लाँघि गये अचरज नाहीं ॥

Jaladhi Langhi Gaye Acharaja Nahin

You leapt across the ocean – no wonder at all.

दुर्गम काज जगत के जेते ।

Durgama Kaja Jagata Ke Jete

All the difficult tasks in this world,

सुगम अनुग्रह तुम्हरे तेते ॥

Sugama Anugraha Tumhare Tete

Become easy by your grace.

राम दुआरे तुम रखवारे ।

Rama Duare Tuma Rakhavare

You are the guardian at Rama's door,

होत न आज्ञा बिनु पैसारे ॥

Hota Na Agya Binu Paisare

No one can enter without your permission.

सब सुख लहै तुम्हारी सरना ।

Saba Sukha Lahai Tumhari Sarana

All find happiness in your refuge,

तुम रक्षक काहू को डर ना ॥

Tuma Rakshaka Kahu Ko Dara Na

You are the protector, no one need fear.

आपन तेज सम्हारो आपै ।

Apana Teja Samharo Apai

You alone can control your immense power,

तीनों लोक हाँक तें काँपै ॥

Tinon Loka Hanka Ten Kanpai

The three worlds tremble at your roar.

भूत पिसाच निकट नहिं आवै ।

Bhuta Pisacha Nikata Nahin Avai

Ghosts and evil spirits do not come near,

महाबीर जब नाम सुनावै ॥

Mahabira Jaba Nama Sunavai

When one utters your great name, O Mahavira.

नासै रोग हरै सब पीरा ।

Nasai Roga Harai Saba Pira

All diseases and pain are eradicated,

जपत निरंतर हनुमत बीरा ॥

Japata Nirantara Hanumata Bira

By constantly chanting the name of Hanuman, the brave.

संकट तें हनुमान छुड़ावै ।

Sankata Ten Hanumana Chudavai

Hanuman delivers from crises,

मन क्रम बचन ध्यान जो लावै ॥

Mana Krama Bachana Dhyana Jo Lavai

Those who meditate on him in thought, word and deed.

सब पर राम तपस्वी राजा ।

Saba Para Rama Tapasvee Raja

Lord Rama, the ascetic king, reigns supreme,

तिन के काज सकल तुम साजा ॥

Tina Ke Kaja Sakala Tuma Saja

But you carry out all his tasks.

और मनोरथ जो कोई लावै ।

Aura Manoratha Jo Koi Lavai

Whoever comes to you with any wish,

सोइ अमित जीवन फल पावै ॥

Soi Amita Jivana Phala Pavai

That person obtains the abundant fruit of life.

चारों जुग परताप तुम्हारा ।

Charon Juga Paratapa Tumhara

Your glory is renowned throughout the four ages,

है परसिद्ध जगत उजियारा ॥

Hai Parasiddha Jagata Ujiyara

Your fame is radiantly obvious throughout the Universe.

साधु संत के तुम रखवारे ।

Sadhu Santa Ke Tuma Rakhavare

You are the guardian of saints and sages,

असुर निकंदन राम दुलारे ॥

Asura Nikandana Rama Dulare

Destroyer of demons, beloved of Rama.

अष्ट सिद्धि नौ निधि के दाता ।

Ashta Siddhi Nau Nidhi Ke Data

You bestow the eight powers and nine treasures,

अस बर दीन जानकी माता ॥

Asa Bara Dina Janaki Mata

This boon you received from Mother Janaki.

राम रसायन तुम्हरे पासा ।

Rama Rasayana Tumhare Pasa

You possess the elixir of Rama's name,

सदा रहो रघुपति के दासा ॥

Sada Raho Raghupati Ke Dasa

And will forever remain Raghupati's servant.

तुम्हरे भजन राम को पावै ।

Tumhare Bhajana Rama Ko Pavai

Through devotion to you, one finds Rama

जनम जनम के दुख बिसरावै ॥

Janama Janama Ke Dukha Bisaravai

And escapes the sorrows of countless lives.

अन्त काल रघुबर पुर जाई ।

Anta Kala Raghubara Pura Jai

At the time of death, one goes to Rama's divine abode,

जहाँ जन्म हरि-भक्त कहाई ॥

Jahan Janma Hari-Bhakta Kahai

And is born again as God's devotee.

और देवता चित्त न धरई ।

Aura Devata Chitta Na Dharai

One need not contemplate any other deity;

हनुमत सेइ सर्ब सुख करई ॥

Hanumata Sei Sarba Sukha Karai

Devotion to Hanuman alone secures all happiness.

संकट कटै मिटै सब पीरा ।

Sankata Katai Mitai Saba Pira

All troubles cease, all pain disappears,

जो सुमिरै हनुमत बलबीरा ॥

Jo Sumirai Hanumata Balabira

For those who remember Hanuman, the brave and strong.

जै जै जै हनुमान गोसाईं ।

Jai Jai Jai Hanumana Gosain

Victory, victory, victory to Lord Hanuman!

कृपा करहु गुरुदेव की नाईं ॥

Kripa Karahu Gurudeva Ki Nain

Bestow your grace as would a Guru.

जो सत बार पाठ कर कोई ।

Jo Sata Bara Patha Kara Koi

Whoever recites this a hundred times,

छूटहि बंदि महा सुख होई ॥

Chutahi Bandi Maha Sukha Hoi

Is released from bondage and gains great bliss.

जो यह पढ़ै हनुमान चालीसा ।

Jo Yaha Padhai Hanumana Chalisa

One who reads this Hanuman Chalisa,

होय सिद्धि साखी गौरीसा ॥

Hoya Siddhi Sakhi Gaurisa

Gains success, with Shiva as witness.

तुलसीदास सदा हरि चेरा ।

Tulsidasa Sada Hari Chera

Tulsidas, forever a servant of God,

कीजै नाथ हृदय मँह डेरा ॥

Kijai Natha Hridaya Manha Dera

Prays: 'O Lord, please dwell in my heart.'

पवन तनय संकट हरन मंगल मूरति रूप।

Pavana Tanaya Sankata Harana Mangala Murati Rupa

O son of the wind-god, remover of adversities, embodiment of blessings,

राम लखन सीता सहित हृदय बसहु सुर भूप॥

Rama Lakhana Sita Sahita Hridaya Basahu Sura Bhupa

Along with Rama, Lakshmana and Sita, reside in my heart, O king of gods.
