The Hanuman Temple in Namakkal, Tamil Nadu, is famous for its 18-feet-tall monolithic statue of Hanuman. The statue is carved out of a single rock and is believed to be growing in size.

The temple is located at the foot of a hill, and according to local legend, Hanuman used his tail to prevent the hill from tilting. The temple architecture is a beautiful blend of Dravidian and Madurai styles.
