Hanuman Temple

Connaught Place, New Delhi

The Hanuman Temple in Connaught Place, New Delhi, is one of the most unique and popular temples in the capital. The temple is believed to be one of the five temples of Mahabharata days in Delhi.

The most striking feature of this temple is its structure - shaped like the numeral '8', it has a self-manifested idol of Lord Hanuman. The idol is said to have appeared miraculously and is believed to be swayambhu (self-manifested).

Despite being in the busy commercial center of Delhi, the temple provides a serene atmosphere for devotees. It's particularly crowded on Tuesdays and Saturdays, which are considered auspicious days for worshipping Lord Hanuman.
