The Bade Hanuman Ji Temple in Prayagraj (formerly Allahabad) is unique because its idol of Hanuman is partially submerged in water. According to legend, the level of water in the Ganges is rising to touch the feet of Hanuman.

The temple is located inside the Allahabad Fort, at the confluence of the Ganges and Yamuna rivers. It's an important part of the Prayag pilgrimage and is especially crowded during the Kumbh Mela.
